new layout!

it’s about time! haha. that old one was blahh. the bad thing is i forgot to take a screenshot of it for the past layouts page .:X but it was ugly anyway, so i don’t think anyone will miss it[x but! i absolutely love the navigation up there ^^. i can assure you that whenever i get bored, i will spend an hour hovering over them, they’re that fun.

you may have noticed that i’ve been updating like crazy lately. it’s because, now that i’ve been away from school for a substantial amount of time, my creativity & inspiration have come back. lulz. no, it’s really because i have a lot more time on my hands now that i’m on break, & can actually stay up late into the night waiting for inspiration to hit. bwuha >D

anywhoo, has anyone read ‘the host‘ by stephenie meyer? zomg. best book ever. i would say it’s better than the twilight series, but then i’d have a hoard of screaming fangirls ready to rip out my throat, but they’re both good in their own right. it’s just that the host, omg. i sound like a hyper fifth grader lol, but seriously. it’s so good&interesting&suspenseful&exciting&gjlkdsa;j. words cannot even describe it. stephenie meyer created a completely different world, but it’s still exactly the same, if you get what i mean [which you probably don’t … xD]. it just makes you think, ‘what if that came true? what would i do?’ you know?

um, you’re probably wondering wtf it’s about haha. it’s about this alien ’soul’ [aka a bodysnatcher! :O] named wanderer that comes to earth because it’s been taken over by her species. & there’s still some renegade humans, so they’re going to put her in one of the rebels bodies [a girl named melanie] to see if she can find out where the humans are hiding & stuff. but while wanderer’s in the body she begins to fall in love with the guy that melanie loves, & eventually she goes to find them & she starts to act human & sees the value of their life & starts to feel bad that she’s basically a parasite. & the ending is so sad at first that i was literally crying my eyes out haha. but it got so much better & hfldsajkty you should read it.

well, guys & gals, it’s that time of year again. no not bath time, >_>” it’s christmas! (or hannakuh or kwanzaa, or whatever you celebrate xD) ahh, christamas. little kids begging for toys, the overplayed christmas music on the radio, my dad cursing out the tree lights because they won’t light up…it’s all so touching. [x

you may have noticed the new theme. it sucks. i don’t like it much. well, i like the colors & the picture & all the little individual things, but i dislike how it all came together, if you get what i’m saying. meh, i’ll change it soon, don’t worry[:

anywhoo, i got tagged by caution, so here’s 5 things about meh:
1. i like to sing, but i’m horrible at it.
2. i can’t decide whether i want to be a teacher or a graphic designer when i grow up. or maybe i should be a graphic-designing teacher? [random] in outer space, whoa! [/random]

homg new theme what do you think? i got tired of looking at the other one xD. but i reaaaally like this. a lot! i don’t know why ;P but have you seen the sign on our myspace? i’m in love with it. when i was done, i was like, ‘whoa, i made that? :O’ it’s probably because i finally upgraded to photoshop cs4. :D! it’s so much funner than cs2. there’s more picture effects & it’s so much more organized & zomg. i was freaking out when i first installed it. lmao

anywhoo, i made a tutorial for my amazing sign, but i’m not going to put it up here because there’s a lot of untalented jocker people out there that would copy it exactly & steal my style >:O but if you just want it for one effect or something, ask & i’ll give it to you :] it’s probably not translatable to psp or photofiltre though, since it uses selective color. sorry /: but you can ask anyway for the other steps c[x

new theme obviously, moved the copyright/disclaimer to the info page cause it was taking up too much room on the sidebar, new quote layout, div for personals, new default layout stylesheet & 10 layouts using it, fonts, redid the faqs [they’re cooler now C;], forum signatures, text fades, & i installed phpaskit.

todo list:

actually make the name tags that people have been bugging me about asking for, more songs on our playlist :D, more stylesheet 2 defaults, more headers, funny videos, aim icons, get a portfolio!

i just saw twilight

it was very disappointing. i didn’t like the people they chose anyway, but the acting was seriously bad horrible. kristen stewart & robert pattinson looked like they had no idea how to act out bella & edward. instead of being sweet & cute, they ended up stiff and awkward. & not even cutesy awkward, like how they were supposed to be in biology class. they were just trying to be so serious, which definitely did not fit in with the theme of the movie.

i did like a few of the actors though, my favorites being alice & rosalie. i think they played their parts very well. carlisle, esme & emmett were really good, but i don’t know about japser since he only had one line through the whole movie [i counted]. jessica was kinda meh for me, but i did like angela [& the actress who played her would have made a really good bella actually].

there was also a lot of random footage of the woods in forks. i have no idea what that was really even in there for. we get it. forks is really green & woodsy.

the lighting was pretty weird too. like instead of making it happy & bright & cute, they made it look like a horror movie. or something like that O_o it was all washed out & almost desaturated.

i don’t know, maybe i was expecting too much. but twilight is pretty much one of the best books ever written in my opinion, & i was just hoping for the movie to live up to that.
